Babylegs for boys!

Well, it is cooooold outside, so as we were getting ready to leave for our play date this morning, I decided to pull out a pair of Babylegs and put them on under Blake's sweatpants. He loved them! And I thought they were adorable. :-) I chose Banana Blue for him. Other prints commonly purchased for boys are Brown and Blue stripes, Marine, Orange and Aqua stripes, and the new Polo. Or the solid navy blue ribbed or new brown ribbed.

Granted, Joanna has about 5 pair of Babylegs to Blake's 1, but yes, they do work for boys, too!

Did you hear the one about the pork board suing the breastfeeding mom?

Oh, that's right, it wasn't a joke. Check out the original story, then read the update.

Makes me so proud to be an Iowan. Yes, the National Pork Board offices are located right next to our favorite library, less than 10 miles from our house. We have some books due on Monday, maybe I'll stop by the Pork Board and do some tandem nursing in their front office. It would be better if I could get a hold of a "the other white milk" shirt, though, huh?

I generally try to understand other people's point of view, but those who are intolerant and/or ignorant of the beauty and benefits of breastfeeding really get my goat...er, pig.

You know, I have noticed that people raised on farms can sometimes be the least informed and least supportive of breastfeeding. Maybe it has to do with how they view animals, and therefore need on some level to deny that humans are animals? Ok, don't want to start thinking too deeply on a cold Saturday evening...

Cloth Diapers in the News

I always enjoy media stories about cloth diapering. Here's another good one!
