When are you going to wean him?
Now that Blake is past three, and (due to ear issues) has started nursing very frequently again, I'm getting this question a LOT. And while I'd heard that anthropologists say the natural age of weaning in humans is around 4, I'd never heard any details. Until I found this article on the natural age of weaning written by Katherine Dettwyler, and anthropologist at Texas A&M. She's also the co-author of Breastfeeding: Biocultural Perspectives, which I would add to my reading list, but I'm not up for a textbook-length book right now. :-) But the article is a 5-10 minute read, WELL worth your time!
