Natural Insect Repellent

This is another one of those things where my conscience was getting to me using harsh chemical products on the market as bug repellent. So Prairieland Herbs to the rescue again! Their Buzz Off Balm uses essential oils that bugs don't like. It's even safe for use on pets!

Right now we only have the "trial" size in stock, but it's great for diaper bags, purses, etc. And only $2.00!

Baby Massage Oil

I really like to use oil in Blake's bath as an efficient way to get moisturizer covering his whole body (much quicker than trying to catch him in one place long enough to put on lotion!) But I just couldn't in good conscience keep using anything with mineral oil in it on his skin. So per our request, Prairieland Herbs created a Baby Oil version of their popular Bath & Body oils.

Also fabulous for baby massage. It even comes in a 2 oz. size so you can try it out to make sure you love it!

New colors of Stacinator Wool!

A few customers have been asking me for a while for a "girly" color of the Stacinator stretch wool (in the day/night weight). Well, here you are! Check out the new Wisteria color (that's the purplish color). Plus a new Sky Blue for those of us who are wanting something springy and bright.

Turquoise Moby Wrap!

Moby's limited edition color for spring is out - a beautiful turquoise! It's a "hot fashion color" this season, plus it has Rayosan UV protection.

Here's what Moby had to say about the Rayosan process:

"Australia has the world's best data bank on skin cancer, and recent research there has shown that sunscreens alone are not sufficient protection from the formation of melanoma and related skin damage. People who work and play outdoors are being advised to cover up because the effects of UVR (ultra violet rays) are considered to be cumulative.

"A study of 250 summer fabrics confirmed that most of them do not afford the equivalent protection of a good SPF 15 sunscreen. Most summer fabrics are light and open in structure - allowing UV rays to be transmitted through.

"The Rayosan process was developed by Sunsafe, an Australian company, and researchers at the Textile Department of the University of South Wales. This technology allows increasing the Sun Protection Factor without changing the appearance, handle, and "breathability" of the fabric.

"You can imagine how excited we are to incorporate this technology into the Moby Wrap fabric. Using this kind of fabric will offer another layer of protection for baby's sensitive skin, especially before the recommended age of using sunscreen."

There is a slight price difference for wraps with this technology - the new turquoise color with Rayosan UV protection sells for $39.95 (with free shipping!).

Mommy's Touch One Size Pocket Diapers

I finally got the new One Size Pocket Diaper by Mommy's Touch listed! Blake is a little chubby-waisted so he needs the extender tabs, but I love that they're available! I haven't tried them on a newborn yet, but if all goes well I will in August. :-)

Fuzzi Bunz restocked

Just (finally) unpacked my latest box from them, so have a pretty good stock once again. Still have to unpack Happy Heinys, prefolds, and mini-showers! But we just took a break for a stroll around the neighborhood. Have to take advantage of these 65-degree sunny days!
