Lilypadz are back in stock!

After being backordered for what seems like a long time, they're back!

I also have a box to unpack restocking various Earth Mama Angel Baby Items. Have you seen Booby Tubes? Everyone loves the name, but people love them even more when they try them! They're a pair of cold/hot packs (you can either freeze or microwave them) that mold around your breast and fit inside your bra. Use as a hot pack to relieve plugged ducts or mastitis, or use as a cold pack to relieve engogement.

Is it really approaching the end of October???? I played my last October wedding today (with the Swan String Quartet). Next "gig" is a Christmas party on November 30. Of course we still have 2 Des Moines Symphony sets in between now and then, with the next one starting Monday... No rest for the weary! :-) At least Dave is mostly recovered from his surgery, and Blake is mostly recovered from the virus he had. (Which was not chicken pox, by the way. It was some other rash-causing virus that our pediatrician made me promise not to look up on the internet.)

We have chicken pox!

Yes, poor Blake broke out in little red spots today. Of course being such an "on top of it" mom, I noticed them *during* a La Leche League meeting! We high-tailed it out of there fast, away from those tiny babies and pregnant moms! I knew he'd been exposed last week, but for some reason I didn't "expect" it until next week. He's running a low fever, and maybe a little whinier and more tired than usual, but generally seems to be doing well. Poor punkin'!

So for my customers, shipping may be a day or two slower than usually for the next week or so, as I coddle Blake a little extra.

When will we learn?

Interesting article in USA Today about the "possible" dangers of scheduling elective c-sections before 37 weeks. Sheesh... Do you cut 10-15% of the time off baking a cake and expect the same results?? Sometimes I can get REALLY frustrated by how "modern" medicine handles birth in the US of A...

Finally back in stock...

After being backordered for what seems like a LONG time, unbleached Chinese prefolds and hemp Wonder-fulls inserts are back in stock!

Plus, Happy Heiny's Microfiber Stuffins are now available!

New research on health hazards of disposable diapers

One thing I found very interesting about this article is they never even mention the option of cloth diapers. Isn't it sad that there are SO many people out there that don't know how modernized cloth diapering has become? Have you told anyone today how much you love cloth diapering???

Got those Happy Heiny's Sherpa Fitteds listed

"Aaaaaahhhh" - that's what Blake said when I put one of these on him the first time! OK, well maybe he didn't notice so much, but I sure enjoyed putting it on him. These luxurious diapers are the perfect thing to wear under wool covers for a completely breathable diapering solution.

These are similar to other sherpa fitted diapers on the market, but with a higher rise. No more plumber butt on those little ones as they grow so fast!

New Stretch Wool fall colors

Well, the time has come that I can no longer let Blake run around in just a t-shirt and diaper with no cover at home - it's just too chilly! So now we switch to a fitted diaper under a Stacinator Stretch Wool daytime weight cover and sweat pants. Still completely breathable, so good for his tender skin, but warmer. :-) Or some days we just use a fitted diaper and wool longies if we know we're not going anywhere. (I've got to get more of those in stock from Wallypop - especially in the larger sizes.)

So, just in time for cool fall weather (which arrived with a bang today - we went from 72 degrees this morning to 57 degrees now at 3:00 in the afternoon!), there are some new colors of the daytime weight stretch wool available - jade and pumpkin! Mmmm - I love fall colors...

A few more store updates

In addition to the Happy Heiny's Sherpa Fitteds and the new Stacinator Stretch Wool colors, I made just a few other additions worth mentioning.

I got one Happy Heiny's Wet Bag in the very popular Crowns print and listed that.

I've listed out the Happy Heiny's Training Pants (pocket trainers) that I have in stock, so people don't have to contact me to find out what colors and prints are available. There are always many more choices by special order, though, which only takes about a week to arrive.

I put a few more colors of Stacinator Stretch Wool day weight on clearance. Teal and Wine are now sale priced in addition to Peach and Peacock. I have mostly large and one medium in the day weight clearance colors. I also have 2 small and 1 medium day/night weight covers left on the clearance diapers page.

Enjoy!
